Reverend Cheryl-Owen Watson is Centenary’s Minister to Senior Adults and has held this position for the past seven years. Previously, Cheryl was a Pastoral Associate at the Metropolitan Community Church of Richmond. Cheryl has obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology from the College of William & Mary where she also reiceved a Master’s Degree in Education in Special Education. She then proceeded to complete her Education Specialist Degree in Administration at The George Washington University and her Masters of Divinity at Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. Currently, Cheryl is working on receiving her Doctorate of Ministry also at Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. Being originally from Norfolk, Virginia, Cheryl now resides in the Richmond area and has a daughter, Lisa, and two sons, James and Kevin. In her spare time she enjoys tap dancing and she also teaches Zumba fitness classes right here at Centenary.
