How We Worship

Our Worship Style

Welcome to Centenary, where worship is not just a routine but a profound journey that shapes our identity and fuels our service to God and others.

Our worship pattern revolves around four vital components: gathering as a community of faith, delving into the Scriptures, responding to the Word through sacraments like Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and being sent forth into the world for meaningful service. Rooted in a rich tradition, our core convictions highlight that worship is ultimately about God, an essential part of our church identity, a response of thanksgiving for God’s actions, and a transformative experience where we learn to envision reconciled relationships. Our faith, both in simple trust and specific beliefs, is deeply intertwined with our worship practices. Through the lectionary, a three-year cycle of readings, we explore diverse parts of Scripture, allowing its timely relevance to unfold. As United Methodists, we celebrate the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, viewing them as channels of God's grace, welcoming anyone seeking that grace to our table. Join us on this profound journey of worship, where you'll not only discover the story of salvation but also become an integral part of our vibrant faith community.
