How We Connect

Centenary UMC connects with each other, locally, and globally.

We welcome you to get connected and help us impact our community and the world.

CONNECT WITH US

As a United Methodist church in downtown Richmond, we are uniquely positioned to work with other denominations and organizations to impact the city. Through our partnerships with FeedMore and Downtown Community Ministries lunch is served every weekday in downtown Richmond. Every Friday, we serve lunch at 10:30 a.m. to over 100 homeless and housing insecure individuals. We support organizations like United Methodist Family Services and The Pace Center, who work with foster children and college young adults respectively. Shalom Farms is another favorite with members who volunteer there on a regular basis. We work to overcome racism through Clergy and Citizens Against Racism. Join us on Sunday, May 19 to find out how you can be involved. Click here for information.

As a United Methodist church, we are fortunate to also have global connections through the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). This connection brings us closer to the needs that are geographically distance. For many years we have been privileged to support a Street Children Ministry and Women’s Livelihood Ministry, both in Cambodia. Our yearly Rise Against Hunger event brings the entire church community together as we package over 10,000 meals.

When we gather for worship on Sunday mornings, we come together to strengthen our connections of community and connection to God. On most Sunday mornings we offer an additional time to gather for a time of spiritual formation, learning, and encouragement. Take a look at what we are currently offering. It is these times together that enable us all to go out and change the world through love.
